Skate session in Paris

BFF

Lauren Cooper, Dave's wife, took all these pictures. Thanks Lauren! So these are pictures of a skate session me and Dave had back in Paris about a year ago. I went to Paris from Geneva for a long weekend, and one of the days it decided to rain. Dave, having been a good scout, had several covered spots in mind that we could skate. And these aren't your average dusty covered parking lot with a possible bank or ledge to skate. These are full on Parisian-style architecture covered spots, meaning they're amazing, unique, and covered in human fecal matter. We went out to this spot when it was raining one day and had ourselves a wallride session. Just a side note, a lot of spots in Europe look like they're the most amazing thing ever. And many of them are. But what you don't realize when you see the spot in a video is that its swarming with people, has these nasty cracks everywhere, or just isn't as easy to skate as it looks. This is one of those spots. Although this was one of the raddest spots I've ever seen, those are mansized wheel-eating cracks you have to ride on to get to the wall, and they will stop at nothing to slow you down or even knock you off your board. Once you can get over that, the spot is pretty awesome.

I'll end this post by saying skating in Paris with Dave, my brother, Dan, and Garrett has been one of the highlights of skating for me, and this skate session is a stand out session in Paris. Dave, we miss you, and we'll see you in Europe soon...
